schoolOur mission

Built for understanding, not just answers.

We build tools that help students learn their coursework — with steps, context, and outputs designed to be checked rather than accepted on faith.

What we believe

Four ideas that guide everything we ship.

What we do

Acemy brings homework help, quiz generation, flashcards, GPA planning, and writing support into one place. Whether you are stuck on a calculus problem, prepping for an exam, or polishing an essay, we shorten the path from question to understanding.

How we think about AI

AI can make mistakes. We prioritize step-by-step reasoning, visible sources where available, and explanations you can check against class materials. Education tools should augment how you think, not replace it.

Who we serve

Students from high school through university use Acemy for STEM, humanities, business, and language coursework. Our features are built around real study workflows: asking questions, drilling with quizzes and cards, and tracking academic progress.

Who builds this

The person behind Acemy.

Tim

Founder & Developer

Acemy is an independent study platform built and maintained by Tim, a solo software developer.

It started from a simple frustration: the best study techniques — active recall and spaced repetition — are well proven, but the tools around them either lock core features behind paywalls or demand hours of setup before you can review a single card. Acemy's goal is to remove that friction: paste your notes or snap a photo, get flashcards and quizzes in seconds, and let the FSRS algorithm decide what to review and when.

Every tool on this site is built, tested, and maintained by hand — including the FSRS scheduling engine, the question explanations, and the study analytics. If something is broken or confusing, it reaches the person who can fix it directly.
